Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Amazing restaurant with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The food is healthy and especially original. They mostly serve Lebanese dishes, but they also offer some Moroccan options. The prices are reasonably good, although I find the starters a bit expensive. Overall, it’s a very good place if you’re looking for healthy, fresh, and quality food."
"In the midst of our weeklong hunt for the best Mediterranean food in Malaga, we decided to give this place a try. This place was really good. We arrived a little before opening, and, to our surprise, they opened right on time - although it took them a moment to notice we were there (both in the kitchen getting ready we suspect). There was both indoor and outdoor seating. Given our preference for “non-smoking” and that it was chilly that evening, we opted to eat in doors. Small 4-6 4 person table tops were available inside a very nicely decorated restaurant with imagery from olden Lebanon. After reviewing the menu and asking some questions we settled in on the tabule, lentil soup, hummus, musaka, baked fish and chicken with caramelized onions. The food was served promptly and was all very good. The tabule was excellent. As my kiddo noted, “no wonder why they call this place Tabule”. The chop of the parsley was perfect, the balance of tomato and cracked wheat was perfect and the amount of lemon was just perfect. The lettuce leaves were also a nice touch. We almost ordered another, but thought twice given how much we had already ordered. The lentil soup was very different from any lentil soup I had had before. Blended with an array of spices that gave it a wonderful and smoky flavor. It was honestly one of the best I’ve had. The hummus was decent, nothing out of the ordinary. Great flavor, consistency and served with warm pita bread. I was a little surprised that there was an additional charge for the bread when we ordered the hummus. This kinda just appeared on our final bill. Neither here nor there, but just took me by surprise. My wife had the musaka and it was decent. Nothing crazy, but hit a craving. She both cooks it at home and is one of her favorite dishes, so the bar was high. I had the fish and my kiddo had the chicken, while both were fine. Neither were particularly Lebanese either in our mind from the prep to the flavors, they were very standard fair restaurant food. Again, they were tasty, just not the cultural cuisine we were in pursuit of. My kiddo also noted that the chicken was a bit dry - I tried it and can confirm it was a bit overcooked. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. We’d certainly be open to coming back, but probably not if we were craving a Mediterranean explosion."
"Even though I was biased to Lebanese food, this place managed to still surprise me. The quality of these dishes was superb, you can feel the elaborate making and the years of tradition behind every scoop. A hidden gem in Malaga, you won’t be disappointed."
"Lovely restaurant hidden in a small alley. The food is out of this world - all clearly made with care, love and skill. The flavours are fantastic. The owner is so welcoming. Don’t miss out!!!!"
"Lovely restaurant with the kindest owner. We had such a great experience here! The food was deliciously prepared and the owner gifted us traditional Lebanese figs. Definitely ask for the fresh garlic sauce, it was delicious."
"Vegan Review: our visit here today has truly warmed my heart. We arrived well before dinner and I asked if they had soy milk and was told they did not, so I thanked them and went to leave. The owner, Anuar, asked me if we just wanted coffee or food and coffee, I said food and coffee and that is when my faith in humanity was restored. The waitress went round the corner and bought soy milk! We went through the menu with Anuar and he showed us all the things that were by default vegan and those he could easily adapt to be vegan. When he realised how many vegan options he had Anuar decided to create a vegan menu to make it easier for vegan patrons. We also had a wonderful conversation on the merits of honey and what the Qur'an says about bees and honey. Somewhere in between we had the most delicious meal and coffee with soy milk. We shall definitely be back, there's lots on the new vegan menu that I need to try. Thanks Anuar"
"Absolutely delicious Lebanese food. We came at 2:00pm on a Friday and it was fabulous. Everything is home made and lovely. This place is perfect great flavours. Must try in Malaga."
"The food is very nice! The salads were delicious and I ordered lamb skewer however it normally doesn't come with rice! So if you want you have to order extra! But the best thing you can order is the chicken with caramelized onion!! It tasted like heaven! Full with flavors such as cinnamon and there were raisons inside! Just delicious! If you're not familiar with middle eastern cuisines do yourselves a favor and try it! You will love it :) They also have Ayran as drinks and that one is also delicious and thick and flavorful with garlic taste and so on..."
